Froggy Stuff Friday

After watching My Froggy Stuff videos repeatedly and religiously, I decided it was finally time to try some of the crafts.

I attempted the doll room in a cereal box (I figured my Game Developer Barbie should have some place to work).  Here is my first one (not finished):

My first mistake was using cardstock paper instead of regular scrapbook paper for the wall paper.  It's too thick for the box to open and close now.  But I love the little unicorns, so I'm gonna make it work.

My second mistake is that the desktop is crooked.  Grr..

Here it is with a little corkboard and a popsicle stick shelf.  Need to add a few more things, but still thinking as to what.

I tried it again, but this box is smaller.  I have to wait for the kids to finish up some cereal to get the bigger boxes!  Ha!

I'm not totally happy with the walls on this one, either.  First I cut the paper to fit each wall so that it could open and close easier without creasing the paper.  I didn't like how that looked, however, so I covered the seams with strips of white paper.  Now it's harder to open and close again, but it's too late now,  I should have left it alone.  Oh, well.  I'll have to come up with something else for the next one.
Then I got out the popsicle sticks to make a "hardwood" looking floor.

While I had the popsicle sticks out, I tried making some doll sized pallets, to make doll pallet furniture arrangements.

I love crafting with popsicle sticks

They turned out pretty well, I just need to sand the edges down.  I had enough to make 3 large pallets and two half sized pallets.

I'm not sure what to turn this second room into...a bedroom, living room??  Any ideas?

Next time I'm going to try adding the third wall panel to the outside of the box with a window.

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas gifts!

Squeee! I got the Hudson Bay Barbie from my mom for Christmas! She's so cute! I'm torn between deboxing or not.

I also bought myself Game Developer Barbie, and gave her a MTM body.

Her skin tone of her head is slightly darker than the body, bit can't really tell when she has clothes on. Now she can actually play on her tablet and laptop.

Thanks for stopping by!
